      Electroretinograms from ninaE6 flies fail to show prolonged depolarization afterpotential (PDA) in response to blue light.

      (Wang et al., 2007)

      The electroretinogram (ERG) of homozygous flies is abnormal; the on- and off- transient components are absent. Homozygotes have almost no rhodopsin, heterozygotes have approximately 35% rhodopsin compared to wild-type levels.
