Description

Nucleotide substitution: G?C.

Nucleotide substitution: G?A.

Amino acid replacement: V?L.

Amino acid replacement: W?term.

The V?L change is in exon 3 and the termination codon mutation is in exon 4.

Recessive allele. Lcp65Ab1/Lcp65Ab2 protein migrates more slowly in homozygotes, irrespective of the Lcp65Ab1/Lcp65Ab2 alleles present.

ome1 adults are 15-20% smaller than wild-type adults but there is no reduction in the size of ome1 eggs, third instar larvae or pupae. ome1 males show a decreased ability to fertilize females; the amount of progeny from females fertilized by ome1 males is also decreased.
