Detailed Description

Reference

Abnormal trap-entry kinetics (cf. ota1), with food medium or ethyl acetate as stimulant isolated using latter). In odor induced jump tests gave subnormal responses to the first two of these stimulants. ERG normal.

Homozygotes show abnormal trap-entry with ethyl acetate as the stimulus. They show an abnormal response to ethyl acetate and propionic acid, and a normal response to benzaldehyde in a chemosensory jump assay. ERG is normal. Giant fibre pathway physiology appears normal.

Comments

Allelism determined only by trap-entry behavior of the double heterozygote, i.e. no mapping data on ota22.
