      Phenotype is similar to that of lawcp1, with respect to wing and bristle phenotypes, but differs in not showing homeotic transformation arista to tarsus.

      Hairs and bristles are missing, doubled or disarranged. Eyes are rough and reduced in size. The scutellum is more convex than wild type. The wing margins, especially the posterior margins, are often incised and the wings are occasionally blistered. The phenotype is variable, rarely flies appear normal.
