Detailed Description
Statement

ScrS/+ males have sex combs on the second and third legs instead of just on the first.

100% of T3 legs have a sex comb in heterozygous males. Mesothoracic legs also have sex combs.

Dominant allele.

Ectopic sex comb teeth on males, disruption or removal of sternopleural and mesosternal bristles on males and females.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The Df(2R)ED3923 deficiency partially suppresses the ScrS ectopic sex comb tooth phenotype in a dose dependent manner.

Dsp11/Y ; ScrS/+ males have a less severe phenotype than ScrS/+ single mutants; the number of T3 legs with a sex comb is highly diminished (30 vs 100%) and the size of the sex comb on the T2 legs is reduced (2.5 vs 4.5 teeth).
