Adults have small bristles and are temperature-sensitive for death during development; temperature-sensitive period for lethality includes at least larval stages (Homyk); when cultures shifted to 29^oC after pupariation, adults eclose but are very uncoordinated (Homyk); the originally stress-sensitive character seems to have vanished from the strain, though jumping ability of adults may still be impaired.
