      Body colour: flies have slight excess melanisation, particularly noticeable in the scutellum. Eye colour: browner than normal, dull. Expression is best seen immediately after eclosion. Eyes are occasionally misshapen. Males and females are fertile, with approximately 50% wild-type viability.
