Neuromuscular junctions appear normal in structure and localisation in tld9/tld14 and tld9/tld2 third instar larvae.

In embryos laid by homozygous mutant mothers no leading edge cells are found.

Germband extension fails in Df(3R)tld68-62/tld9 embryos. hkb2 tld9 double mutant embryos undergo germband extension, but fail to undergo germband retraction.

Moderate ventralised phenotype. Defective movements of the germ band: due to loss of the amnioserosa and because the dorsalmost cells have acquired the lateral fate of the dorsal ectoderm. Dorsal cell fates are deleted and ventrolateral mitotic domains are expanded.

Enhancement of tor13D embryos: decrease in proportion of embryos that formed cuticle, or cuticle with denticles and increase in proportion of embryos that formed empty sacs.
