Macrochaetae are short and very thin. Microchaetae are reduced in size and number. Wings are more rounded at the tips than normal, with the veins slightly thickened, and the margin is occasionally interrupted. The trident pattern is more pigmented than in wild-type flies. Males are viable and fertile, females are sterile.
