Reference

The core region of myofibrils of the flight muscles are well ordered, but peripheral thick and thin filaments are disordered.

Heterozygotes have moderate flight ability and a normal wing posture. Homozygotes are flightless and approximately 23% have an abnormal wing posture.

Semidominant for flightlessness (Homyk and Emerson, 1988). homozygote wing phenotype normal: abnormal ( 3:1 ) heterozygote wing phenotype normal homozygote unable to fly semidominant for flightlessness
