      49.8% of eggs laid by heterozygous females are undeveloped. Hemizygous embryos die as pharate larvae with well-formed mouth hooks and air in the tracheal trunks. The ventral nervous system is disorganised. No completely male genitalia are seen in gynandromorphs.
