ptchdl animals transheterozygous for ptc7 are viable with lowly penetrant headcase defects and show lowly penetrant locomotor defects in adulthood.

ptchdl in combination with ptc7 does not lead to any head capsule defects.

Clones induced in the second instar larvae eye disc are relatively small and have only minor effects on disc growth and morphology.

Stage 12 wgl-12 ptc7 double mutants embryos exhibit ectopic dorsal median cells that have aberrant segmental organisation. By stage 15 dorsal median cells have expanded along the entire anterior/posterior length of the midline.
