      Act88F6 null flies homozygous for Act88FV339I insert have almost normal flight ability, flies carrying one mutant copy have partial recovery of flight. Indirect flight muscles in Act88F6 homozygous for Act88FV339I insert have a very disrupted structure.

      IFM myofibrils are studied in transformant Act88F6 mutants. Mutants produce no fibrillar material at all.
