      Heat shock results in transformation of head and thoracic segments towards A1. In the absence of exd the head and thoracic segments are transformed towards A3.

      Heat induction greater than 10 minutes causes transformation of thoracic parasegments into copies of parasegment 6. Head parasegments are weakly transformed. Weak transformations of antennae to legs after heat induction 72 hours after egg laying.
