50% to less than 100% of eyaE3/Df(2L)eya10 embryos hatch. 50% to less than 100% of homozygous animals survive to adulthood. Adults have eyes which range from 1/2 to less than normal size. eyaE3/eya4 flies have eyes which range from 1/2 to less than normal size. Viable in transheterozygous combination with eya1, eya2, eya3 or eya4, producing flies with eyes that range from 1/2 to less than normal size. Transheterozygotes in combination with eyaE9, eyaE2, eyaE8, eyaE5, eyaE10, eyaD4, eyaZ283, eyaD2, eyaD3, eyaD6 or eyaD7 do not survive to adulthood. Transheterozygotes in combination with eyaE6, eyaE11, eyaE4, eyaE12, eyaE7, eyaE1, eyaD5, eyaD1 or eyacli-IID show reduced survival to adulthood, and produce flies with smaller eyes than normal.
Fails to complement eye phenotype of eya1.
