fors1/for+ pupae show tachycardia at temperatures above 25oC. Linear regression of heart rate on temperature is positive as in wild type, but the slope is significantly higher. Injection of serotonin or norepinephrine increases the heart rate in the mutant pupae, but for serotonin, the amount of change is significantly less than in wild-type controls.
In larval and adult tests, homozygotes show sitter-type behavior.
