        ss134/ssaBR30-71 adults show a reduction in the size of bristles and an antenna-to-leg transformation.

        ssaBR30-71 flies (with aristae transformed into second tarsi) show extremely positive geotaxis as measured in a Hirsch-type geotaxis maze. Other antennal mutants and flies with aristae amputated do not show such extreme positive geotaxis.
