Description

cDNA construct with sequence C-terminal to the homeobox of Antp replaced by that of Scr, expressed from an Hsp70 promoter. A 12 amino acid Tag:MYC tag has been introduced between residues 135 and 136 in the N terminal half of the protein.

      Heat shock causes failure of head involution, ectopic denticles in the head and loss of the T1 beard. The adult head shows antenna to T2 leg transformation, transformation of the head towards the thorax and reduction of eye size.
