As for Antp::ScrG26.hs, but with Antp-specific amino acids at positions 1, 4, 6 and 7 of the otherwise Scr homeodomain section, expressed from an Hsp70 promoter.
Phenotype assayed in mature embryos after 20mins heat shock at 37oC, 6-7 hours after egg laying: moderate Antp phenotype demonstrated by strong suppression of the T1 beard, ectopic denticles in the head and strong head involution defects. Phenotype assayed in pharate adult heads after six heat shocks at 37oC for 60 mins, at four hour intervals from 69 +/- 0.5hr to 88 +/- 0.5hr after egg laying: transformation of the entire antenna into mesothoracic leg structures carrying leg-specific bristles with bracts, and often with the T2 leg-characteristic apical bristles at the end of the tibia. The penetrance, but not the expressivity of this adult phenotype of Antp::ScrK26.hs was somewhat lower than for Antp::ScrK17.hs.
