Nucleotide substitution: A?T. Amino acid replacement: D6V. There is also a T to A transversion in the splice donor sequence following exon 2.

There is also a T to A transversion in a splice donor sequence in Ets97D902, generating a GAGAG sequence, rather than the wild type GTGAG sequence.
Ets97D902/Df(3R)ro80b and Ets97D613/Ets97D902 flies die as pharate adults. Ets97Dtne-1 is viable but female sterile in transheterozygous combination with Ets97D902. Ets97Dtne-1/Ets97D902 females have some abnormalities in oogenesis, although the majority of eggs laid by these females appear morphologically normal. Approximately 15% of these eggs develop to late stage embryos, a small percent of these hatch into first instar larvae and in rare cases some animals develop to the adult stage. The embryos have defects in abdominal segmentation, ranging from mild defects in segments A4 to A7, to broad fusion and/or deletion of segments including A2 to A7.
Ets97D902 is rescued by Ets97D+t5.4
