The wing discs in homozygous dik3 third instar larvae are small compared to controls.

dik3 mutant cells are not recovered in germline clones, while twin control cell are recovered. No egg-producing ovarioles are recovered. No dik3 mutant cells are recovered in somatic thoracic clones.
