      Female sex determining function: chromosomal XX tra- animals with one copy of the transgene have male phenotype with few malformations and occasional female structures such as bristles on sternite 6. Male fertility function: females mated to tra- males with one copy of the transgene give rise to 13.3 +/- 5.0% fertilized eggs.
