The ability of Schneider line 2 cells expressing ifC.hs to spread on a substrate coated with a protein containing the Tig RGD is reduced by about 90% if the cells are also treated with mysdsRNA.cJa dsRNA. Schneider line 2 cells coexpressing ifC.hs and mys4A.hs which have been treated with protease to clear surface proteins and ECM show spreading on a substrate coated with a protein containing the Tig RGD. Schneider line 2 cells coexpressing ifC.hs and mys4A.hs also show spreading if they are not pretreated with protease and are grown in normal growth medium with serum on an uncoated substrate. Schneider line 2 cells coexpressing ifC.hs and mysΔ7.hs which have been treated with protease to clear surface proteins and ECM show spreading on a substrate coated with a protein containing the Tig RGD.
