Expression of a lacZ reporter is driven by a 77bp XbaI KpnI fragment of the Dfd epidermal autoregulatory element (Dfd EAE), which carries the 69bp difference between P{Dfd-lacZ.F10} and P{Dfd-lacZ.F11}, fused to an Hsp70 minimal promoter.
