Enhancer trap expression is observed in the germarium, particularly in region 2. Expression is reduced in the early vitellarium and gradually increases to a maximum at stage 10. Little staining is observed in follicle cells before stage 10A.

Enhancer trap staining is observed preferentially in the perikarya of the mushroom body cells. It is also observed in some cells interspersed throughout the cortical region of the central brain and the optic lobes, in the cortex of the antennal lobes, in the cortex of the thoracic ganglia, and in ovaries.
