      Anterior cap expression levels in syncytial and cellular blastoderms are observed to significantly lower than that of endogenous toll, while posterior cap expression levels are similar to that of endogenous toll. Anterior cap expression is much lower in syncytial blastoderms and the dorsal stripe is absent in cellular blastoderms.
