Description

A Yp1 fragment carrying a 29bp FBE element (located -311 to -283 relative to Yp1 transcription start site, including three overlapping binding sites: bzip1, strongest binding site for slbo, dsxA, strongest binding site for dsx proteins and aef1, only binding site for Aef1), a 22bp element and the z element (FBrf0058529), drives the expression of Ecol\lacZhs43.

Deletion construct of Yp1 fat body enhancer (FBE) driving expression of lacZ.

Comments

The 29bp enhancer element (o) and a 22bp element (w3) are together sufficient for strong tissue and sex specific expression directed by the entire FBE.
