fors/fors; Csr3/+ larvae show "rover-like" foraging behaviour. forR adults walk further from a recently ingested sucrose source than fors2 flies. Csr3 does not increase walking distance in combination with either for allele.
Homozygous larvae in combination with fors have increased larval path lengths, results in rover-like foraging behaviour.
Revertants of Csr3 isolated through a mutagenesis screen for sitter behaviour show an overexpression of nAcRα-96Aa transcript. Results suggest Csr3 is a mutation in an α-like nAChR.
