Pharate adult lethal - a few escapers do survive eclosion and live a few days as adults. 97% of Gdi^N7-3/Gdi^AK307 animals pupate but none of these eclose. Embryos laid by Gdi^L319/Gdi^AK307 mothers show defects in pole cell formation and "pole hole" phenotype.
