      Expression of tra2hs.c1.3 by heat shock can rescue the mutant phenotype of both XX and XY tra2- homozygotes. XX tra2- pseudomales have occasional abnormalities of the male genitalia in the absence of heat shock, due to basal Hsp70 promoter activity.
