Insertion of approximately 1.3kb Dmau\mariner element in the 2nd intron of Dmau\w at -24bp (by comparison with the sequence of D.melanogaster w, coordinates as in FBrf0038648). The direction of transcription of the Dmau\mariner element is in the opposite direction to that of the Dmau\w gene.
