Reference

Expression of stwl^hs.PC in larvae using heat shock triggers hyperproliferation and apoptosis in the wing disc. The larvae die soon after induction of stwl^hs.PC.

(Brun et al., 2006)

Without heat shock the construct provides weak rescue of stwl mutants. On average 14 eggs were laid per fly and 30% of these eggs hatch into viable larvae. Rescue could not be improved by heat shock.
