Description

2kb BglII-PstI genomic fragment of Sxl containing the 190bp male exon (sequences from 1170bp upstream of the male exon to 650bp downstream) is inserted in the middle of the 150bp ftz intron. lacZ sequences are fused to the second exon of ftz. Expression of this fusion construct is driven by an Hsp83 promoter.
