      Produces minor disturbances in the number and morphology of photoreceptors, when expressed using Scer\GAL4elav-C155. In particular, 1-2% of ommatidia either gain or lose an R7 photoreceptor cell. More rarely, rotated ommatidia or ommatidia with an abnormal arrangement of rhabdomeres are seen.
