      ifxeAQ3/ifxeCO3 transheterozygotes have reduced viability. Rare escapers have very distinct phenotypic abnormalities; shrivelled and smaller wings that are held out, abnormal wing veins, missing macrochaetae on the wing margin, mild notching of the margin and small and rough eyes. Semi-lethal in combination with Df(2L)el88.
