At room temperature, the motor axon terminals of Sh120 larvae show a similar level of arborization to wild-type larvae. However, when larvae are raised at 25oC, the extent of arborization in Sh120 motor terminals is greater than that seen in wild type, although arborization is not further increased when Sh120 larvae are raised at 30oC.
eag1, Sh120; mGluRA112b show the neuromuscular junction overgrowth phenotype of eag1, Sh120 double mutants.
The increased arborization of motor axon terminals seen when Sh120 larvae are raised at 25oC is partially suppressed in rut1, Sh120 double mutant larvae.
eag1, Sh120 double mutant larvae show an enhanced level of motor axon terminal arborization compared to wild-type larvae, when raised at room temperature. No such increase is seen in either single mutant at this temperature. However, when eag1, Sh120 larvae are raised at 30oC, this outgrowth is suppressed as the level of arborization is actually lower than that seen in Sh120 single mutants.
