Larvae show anosmia when stimulated with nonanol, strain is semidominant for the response to nonanol. Strain is recessive for the response to methyl octanoate. Contrary to wild type larvae fail to respond to nonanol, heptylacetate and methyl nonanoate and are slightly attracted to methyl octanoate. Larvae give a wild-type response to octanol and octanoic acid.
Larvae show a wild-type, slight repulsion to low doses of nonanol. Larvae show abnormal responses to certain acetates.
Male and female larvae show anosmia (intermediate degree of repulsion) when stimulated with high or low volumes of nonanol. Response declines with larval age.
