A 4.3kb dpp disc-specific enhancer followed by the Hsp70 basal promoter drive expression of a dominant-negative form of Mmus\Adam10. The Pro-domain and metalloprotease domain are deleted, leaving the disintegrin domain, SP, Cys-rich domain, intracellular domain and transmembrane domain intact. The signal peptide from kuz is also present at the N-terminal end of the protein.
