      RK5 Wings are converted to bi- or tri-segmented haltere-like appendages which have bristles and hairs in mutant flies. Abnormalities are seen in the dorsal and/or lateral thorax, especially in the bristles and hairs. The phenotype resembles that of D.melanogaster tetBd. The penetrance of the phenotype is approximately 10% for homozygotes and 0.2% for heterozygotes.
