macrochaeta & adult abdomen
macrochaeta & leg
Flies in which Su(H)hs.1.T:Hsap\MYC has been expressed using a heat shock of 37oC for 1 hour at 6 hours after puparium formation show a loss of most microchaetae on the notum. Bristles on the legs are also missing. The microchaetae of flies in which Su(H)hs.1.T:Hsap\MYC has been expressed using a heat shock at 26 hours after puparium formation show a double socket phenotype, with almost all shaft cells being transformed into socket cells. The shafts of the macrochaetae are formed, but are slightly short and deformed. Flies in which Su(H)hs.1.T:Hsap\MYC has been expressed using a heat shock at 16 hours after puparium formation show transformation of many bristles on the abdomen and legs into the double socket phenotype.
