The w gene sequences are interrupted by yΔ25-70. The portion of the w gene, up to the beginning of the y gene, has converted to the sequence of wΔ25. A partial P-element 5' end follows yΔ25-67, after which the w gene resumes at position -3035 (FBrf0041384) unconverted i.e. as whd80k17.
