Ectopic expression of SerS.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC with Scer\GAL4Ubx-lac1-Gal4 does not affect wing patterning.
When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4c311 flies have reduced eyes with highly irregular ommatidial patterning.
When expressed via Scer\GAL4hs.2sev the eyes are roughened. Phenotype is stronger than for SerS.GMR.T:Hsap\MYC, with extra photoreceptor defects. When expressed via Scer\GAL4T113 a small eye phenotype results. Each ommatidium is square rather than hexagonal, although photoreceptor composition and orientation are normal. When expressed via Scer\GAL4vg.int2.1 wings may be missing the anterior margin or be narrow. The phenotype of SerS.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC is more extreme than that of DlS.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under these circumstances. This phenotype can be suppressed by simultaneous expression of SerScer\UAS.cSa. When expressed via Scer\GAL4A9 no extra wing vein is observed, although extensive scalloping of the wing margin occurs.
