      The program of shaping of the primary spermatocyte nucleus during meiotic prophase is abnormal in homozygous males and the nucleolus occupies an abnormal position within the nucleus. The morphology of all the Y chromosomal lampbrush loops in the primary spermatocytes is abnormal. Spermatid nuclei of unequal size are seen, suggesting that male meiosis is irregular. The number of Nebenkerne is reduced. Spermatid development arrests at early elongation.
