      Clones of cells expressing pbαTub84B.PP in a pb20/pb27 background induce an antenna to maxillary palp transformation.

      Clones exhibit transformation of the antenna into maxillary palps. Clones in pb27/pb20 mutants exhibit rescue of the pb null phenotype: the antenna is transformed to a maxillary palp, the reduced maxillary palp is rescued and the tarsal mouthparts are rescued to a proboscis.
