      Audiograms demonstrate mutants fail to response at low and intermediate sound intensities but do respond at high intensities. External morphology of the aristae appears normal. Mutants respond normally in an olfactory behaviour test. 0/20 males successfully copulate with females within 30 minutes. Some males eventually do court and produce offspring after several days. Males are fertile with wild type sperm motility.
