UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a ci-pan fusion gene consisting of pan amino acids 1 to 246 fused to ci amino acids 14 to 1397 (this is the fusion gene produced by the ciD mutation caused by the In(4)ciD inversion).

      Flies expressing ci::panciD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PM have gaps in the wing margin. The phenotype is stronger than that caused by ci::panS28N.ciD.Scer\UAS expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PM.
