Description

An aptamer peptide (pepCa) that does not bind Cdk1, Cdk2, Cdk4 or Cdk5 proteins is is expressed as a conformationally constrained loop by fusing it to a stable platform molecule (the Escherichia coli trxA protein). It is expressed under the control of an Hsp70 promoter.

      Flies expressing Zzzz\aptamerhs.pepCa.T:Ecol\trxA,T:nls3 using cyclic heat shock from the third larval instar until eclosion generally do not have eye defects, although some lines carrying Zzzz\aptamerhs.pepCa.T:Ecol\trxA,T:nls3 do show a higher frequency of rough eye phenotypes than control lines.
