      undΔ18/undΔ34 hemizygotes have a roughened eye. There are fewer ommatidia in the ventral half of the eye than in the dorsal half. There is a defect in wing vein L5 where it contacts the wing margin; frequently the vein is branched with extra vein material and occasionally it fails to reach the margin.
