FlyBase curator comment: FBrf0123112 described cpI5 as a gain of function allele, based on the more severe phenotype of cpI5 homozygotes compared to heterozygotes with Df(3L)rdgC-co2. Subsequently, Kennison, 2006.7.21, personal communication to FlyBase, showed that Df(3L)rdgC-co2 is not deleted for cp, but in fact carries cp1, making the 'gain of function' conclusion for cpI5 insecure.
