Imprecise excision of the P{PZ} element, deleting Fab-8 boundary and iab-8PRE silencer sequences in the Abd-B downstream regulatory sequences. A 6kb fragment of the P{PZ} element remains, containing the Ecol\lacZ gene and part of the ry gene.
